There's a problem with publishing on platforms. Every platform wants to own your content, shape your voice, and lock your readers into their feed. Substack gives you a newsletter. Medium gives you a byline. LinkedIn gives you a post that disappears into the scroll. X gives you 280 characters and a fight.
None of them give you a lab.
What this space is for
The Lab is where I write about what I'm building, what I'm thinking, and what I'm discovering — without the constraints of any platform's format or algorithm. Some pieces will be short notes. Others will be deep dives. Some will have code. Some will have diagrams. All of them will be mine.
The best writing happens when you're not performing for an algorithm. It happens when you're thinking out loud in a space you control.
How it connects
Every Lab article also appears on the Articles index, alongside everything I publish on Substack, Medium, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. One place to find it all. The Articles AI chatbot can help you find what you're looking for if you're not sure where to start.
What I'm building
Right now, I'm deep in the weeds on several projects — MemoryOS (an AI thought processor), The Third Layer (intelligence between you and every platform), and a handful of other tools that treat AI as a first-class computing paradigm rather than a chatbot bolted onto the side.
I've been building software for 45+ years. The current moment in AI is the most exciting thing I've seen since the personal computer revolution. And I want to document it — not just the technology, but the thinking behind it.
Welcome to the Lab. Let's build.
